President Donald Trump on Wednesday posted an AI-generated video depicting himself as a doctor treating celebrities who have criticized him. “Have you or someone you know been diagnosed with TDS?” the AI Trump says, referring to “Trump derangement syndrome.” “The symptoms can be relentless,” the president bot says in the video, posted on Truth Social just before midnight. “Fortunately, I’m Doctor Trump, and I have a treatment plan.” The video shows AI-generated versions of celebrity critics such as Rosie O’Donnell, Whoopi Goldberg and Robert De Niro claiming they are in treatment. “I really wasn’t sure I could help some of these people,” the “doctor” Trump says. “They were so far gone, I wasn’t really sure.”The video was also shared on X by White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino:Trump says the treatment is “simple” then, haltingly, says to “turn off fake news.” “Say your prayers, and if you ever feel anxious just have a Diet Coke like me and you’re gonna see a remarkable difference in your life,” the AI Trump says. Trump’s medical attire is noteworthy given that earlier this year he posted a picture of himself as Jesus healing the sick. The move outraged even supporters, and many called it “blasphemous.”But when confronted about the image ― which depicted him in white robes with a red sash and glowing healing hands ― Trump insisted that it showed him as a doctor. Donald Trump/Truth SocialIn the new image, he’s wearing a lab coat with “Donald J. Trump, MD” on it and a stethoscope around his neck. Trump has spent plenty of time around doctors ― real doctors ― himself lately. He was seen by 22 doctors and specialists in May for his third “annual” physical in 13 months. He’s also taken multiple tests to check for signs of cognitive decline, which he has repeatedly bragged about passing. His health has been in the spotlight due to his tendency to doze off during meetings, his swollen ankles ― aka “cankles” ― and chronic bruising on his hand, which he attempts to cover with makeup. The White House has said the cankles are due to a condition called chronic venous insufficiency and the bruising is from aspirin use and frequent handshaking, but that the president is otherwise healthy.
