We haven’t been graced with too many Galaxy Glasses leaks until today. Samsung’s Android XR Galaxy Glasses surfaced in a couple of leaks, leaving little doubt about their design.
SammyGuru has posted a set of short videos obtained from Samsung. The clips were seemingly developed as how-to guides, so animations depicting some of the actions the Galaxy Glasses can undertake. The model seen comes from Warby Parker, though a lot of the core mechanics will likely remain the same for other hardware. Google and Samsung plan to work with Gentle Monster, as well.
The Warby Parker Galaxy Glasses resemble the Meta Ray-Ban glasses in design and control scheme. They look slightly glossy with a more generic wayfarer lens shape. Meta’s display version has quite a bit of bulk, but these glasses from Samsung seem a lot slimmer by comparison.
That probably comes from the lack of waveguide display, which would have been nice to see. We know later Android XR devices will bring an in-lens display, which might test manufacturing limits on weight and bulk.
Beyond design and profile, the glasses have a touchpad sensor on the right arm near the temple. The leaked videos animate volume and media control with a swipe with one or two fingers, much like Meta’s version.
