The MKP in KwaZulu-Natal is accusing the GPU of stalling the process to elect its member to the National Council of Provinces.
The uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) in KwaZulu-Natal has threatened to take the Legislature to court after the stalling of the process to elect a new member to the National Council of Provinces.
The MKP caucus in the Legislature has written to its provincial and national leadership to ask for an intervention.
The seat was left vacant by party member Mmabatho Zondi-Mokoena when she was appointed as the chief whip of the party.
Zondi-Mokoena is currently on suspension following her arrest and is charged with fraud. She was accused of defrauding party Parliament researchers of their salaries, where she demanded 60%.
