Formations of air force aircraft will conduct flyovers over the Athens area on Thursday evening as part of celebrations for the graduation of new air force officers, authorities said.
The flights are scheduled to take place between 6 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. local time.
The flyovers are part of planned activities ahead of the commissioning ceremony for newly graduated second lieutenants from the Hellenic Air Force Academy, known in Greece as the Icarus School.
Authorities said the flights are routine and linked to preparations for the ceremony.
