BERLIN - A fire in a hospital in the northeastern German city of Ludwigslust has caused two fatalities and at least 34 injuries, local media reported on Thursday.
The fire broke out in the roof structure of the hospital's radiology department at around 4:30 am local time (0330 GMT), according to local authorities.
The fire has since been brought under control, but authorities have not yet determined its cause.
The hospital and adjacent buildings are currently being evacuated. According to the fire department, patients are being treated at a safe location on the hospital grounds. No further details were immediately available.
