MANILA, Philippines – Aboitiz Power Corp. (AboitizPower) has broken ground on the Naga Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), a project that aims to strengthen grid reliability and meet the Visayas’ growing power demand.

The project involves building a 60-megawatt standalone BESS at the Naga Power Plant Complex in Barangay Colon, Naga City, Cebu. The facility will provide contingency and regulating reserve services to help stabilize electricity supply and demand.
