MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group National Capital Region (PNP-CIDG NCR) announced its readiness to serve court-issued arrest warrants against high-ranking government officials.
This came amid the impending plunder case against Sen. Rodante Marcoleta in connection with a P75-million donation to him when he was still a congressman before his 2025 senatorial bid. Plunder is a non-bailable offense.
“We haven’t received a warrant of arrest for any high-ranking official right now,” CIDG NCR chief Col. John Guiagui told reporters in Camp Crame on Thursday.

“But again, it is a mandate of CIDG. If there is one, just like the previous cases, CIDG is ready to implement and serve any warrant that will be given by the court,” he maintained.
