The High Court in Ubiaja, Esan South-East Local Government Area of Edo State, has adjourned the murder case involving the killing of a farmer, Saturday Ojiewa, of Uhomebho Community, until September 23, 2026, after cross-examining witnesses.

SaharaReporters gathered that the court, after hearing from and cross-examining the witnesses present, fixed September 23 for the continuation of proceedings.

"The case came up for hearing today and the court adjourned it after cross examining the witnesses present," a family source told SaharaReporters.

The latest adjournment has further heightened anxiety among members of Ojiewa's family and residents of Uhomebho Community, many of whom say they are eager to see the case concluded and those responsible held accountable.
