The death toll from Russia's massive overnight missile and drone attack on Kyiv has risen to eight, with the capital suffering extensive destruction.
The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"As of now, the number of people killed in the Russian strike has risen to eight," the post reads.
Russia once again deliberately targeted residential neighborhoods and killed civilians, Tkachenko said. According to him, the capital has sustained extensive damage, with a large number of casualties, including children.
He added that the situation remains highly dynamic.
