FaZe Clan just made its most significant roster move in years, benching Helvijs “broky” Saukants after nearly seven years with the organization and bringing in 18-year-old Danish AWPer Jason “JBOEN” Boe Nielsen on loan from BIG Academy.

The loan runs through December 31, 2026, giving FaZe roughly six months to evaluate whether the young Dane can fill one of the most important roles on the roster. JBOEN is currently ranked #34 on HLTV’s Prospects list.

The broky era comes to an end

broky joined FaZe in 2019 and grew into one of the most recognizable AWPers in the scene. The announcement came on June 25, 2026, shortly after initial reports began circulating. JBOEN’s debut with FaZe is scheduled for the XSE Pro League in Shanghai, which kicks off on July 1, 2026.

The loan structure is notable too. FaZe isn’t buying out JBOEN’s contract outright. They’re essentially test-driving him through the end of the year. If it works, expect a permanent deal. If it doesn’t, both parties walk away with minimal long-term damage.
