Tuesday’s Democratic primaries in Colorado ended with several notable results for the left. Democratic socialist Melat Kiros defeated veteran representative Diana DeGette, while moderate senator Michael Bennet fell in his bid for governor to left-leaning state attorney general Phil Weiser, and Senator John Hickenlooper fended off a formidable far-left challenger.
