With that as your backdrop, meet Victor Marx, the front-runner in the Republican primary to be Colorado’s next governor. The self-described “high-risk missionary” recently sat for an interview with 9News’ Kyle Clark where, among other things, he:Claimed to have been forced to kill a man at age 7.Got upset at Clark for asking if he’s killed people as an adult.Took credit for helping rescue 43 missing children in Florida, yet could offer no proof of that, nor of rescuing more than 45,000 women and children ― which he’s also previously asserted before removing the claim from his campaign website.Declined to address a claim that, as a civilian, he once called in a military airstrike that killed 70 fighters from the Islamic State group.Told Clark how he performs exorcisms over the phone.Clark shared a handful of clips from the wild conversation on social media Thursday, and they quickly went viral. They also prompted a response from current Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D). “I have killed zero people, and you can take that to the bank,” he quipped.Scroll down for a sampling of the clips. You can also watch the full 30-minute interview on 9News.NEW: Victor Marx is the unlikely, unconventional frontrunner in the GOP race for CO Governor. He says he's a "high-risk missionary" with 100+ rescue missions to save women and children (among other extraordinary claims)."How much of it is true?" I asked."All of it," Marx said. pic.twitter.com/m6kmCsze8f— Kyle Clark (@KyleClark) May 28, 2026Victor Marx claims to have been forced to kill a man at age 7. And he talks about the necessity of killing people in the course of his "high-risk missionary" work. So I asked him how many people he's killed on his missions."Does it matter?"
