Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s reported wedding venue, Madison Square Garden, has a lot of benefits that the mega-famous couple could take advantage of, from the building’s discreet entrances for guests to enter through to its lack of windows preventing paparazzi from snapping photos. But as Mayor Zohran Mamdani pointed out at a recent press conference, it’ll offer another huge benefit during the rumored celebration: shelter against a historic heat wave headed for New York City over the coming days.

Addressing New Yorkers and press on Tuesday (June 30), the mayor emphasized the importance of staying indoors — air conditioned, if possible — and drinking water as temperatures climb to 100 degrees Fahrenheit starting Thursday (July 2) and lasting throughout Fourth of July weekend. The holiday just so happens to be the reported timeframe of a certain pop star and Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s nuptials.
