Riad Bouchaker has been convicted by unanimous jury verdict of the attempted murder of a five-year-old girl at Dublin’s Parnell Square. The child, now aged seven, suffered what doctors described as “life-long and “life-limiting” severe brain and other injuries requiring 24-hour care during the incident on November 23rd, 2023.Bouchaker was also found guilty of attempted murder of two other children, a five-year-old girl and six-year-old boy, who sustained superficial injuries.The jury of nine men and three women also found him guilty of intentionally inflicting serious harm on child-care worker Leanne Flynn who suffered serious injuries after being stabbed in the back when she tried to protect the children.They found him guilty of assault causing harm to two other children and to a teenage chef, Alan Lorena Guille, who wrenched a knife from his hand.
