One of the year’s biggest horror surprises is officially available to watch at home. “Obsession,” Curry Barker’s breakout supernatural thriller, is now available to buy and rent on digital platforms including Prime Video and Apple TV. The film is currently priced at $24.99 to purchase and $19.99 to rent.
Released in theaters on May 15 through Focus Features, “Obsession” quickly became one of 2026’s most unexpected box office stories, turning a low-budget horror premise into a cultural juggernaut. The film has grossed more than $370 million worldwide, making it Focus Features’ highest-grossing movie to date. In another rarity for scary movies, audiences and critics have been enthusiastic about “Obsession,” as evidenced by the film’s “A-” grade on CinemaScore exit polls and the 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Written and directed by 20 year-old Youtuber Barker, the film follows Bear (Michael Johnston), a hopeless romantic who uses a mysterious object called the “One Wish Willow” to make his crush fall in love with him. But what starts as a wish-fulfillment fantasy quickly curdles into something far more sinister, as Nikki (Inde Navarrette) becomes dangerously attached. Cooper Tomlinson, Megan Lawless and Andy Richter also star.
