The holiday programme at Kirstenbosch has begun

Families looking for ways to keep children entertained during the winter school holidays can head to the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, where a packed programme of nature-inspired activities will run from June 30 to July 17.

The annual Winter Wonders programme transforms the world-renowned garden into an outdoor classroom and playground, offering a range of activities designed to encourage children to explore nature while enjoying art, music and hands-on learning.

Visitors can look forward to guided nature walks, indigenous plant potting, drumming and marimba sessions, sand art, rock painting, scavenger hunts and creative workshops aimed at inspiring young minds.

Sarah Struys, Events and Tourism Manager at Kirstenbosch, said the programme was designed to offer something for the entire family.
