The renaming coincides with the opening of a new West End production of Stoppard's play Arcadia, which transferred from the Old Vic to the West End on 1 July. Stoppard's children and widow expressed their profound delight and honour at the tribute, highlighting his deep connection to the West End. Sir Tom Stoppard was a highly acclaimed playwright, winning five Tony Awards, three Olivier Awards, and an Academy Award during his five-decade career.
