Ukraine’s fight for freedom is also Europe’s fight, and we cannot afford to fail the Ukrainians when they need us most,” Danish Defense Minister Jeppe Bruus said. More funding for Ukraine’s defense industry Of the total package, around 1.3 billion Danish kroner ($204 million) will be allocated to the so-called Danish model, which finances Ukraine’s procurement of military equipment directly from its domestic defense industry. The mechanism has enabled Ukraine to rapidly acquire drones, artillery systems and ammunition produced by Ukrainian manufacturers, significantly reducing delivery times compared with foreign procurement. The package also provides additional funding for long-range artillery ammunition, which Danish officials described as one of Ukraine’s most urgent battlefield needs. Denmark: Pressure on Russia must continue Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen said recent developments on the battlefield should not lead partners to reduce their support for Ukraine.
