Northwest University, Kano State, has expelled no fewer than 34 students over their involvement in examination misconduct.

The expulsion of the affected students was contained in a statement issued on Monday and signed by the Head of the university’s Public Relations Unit, Abubakar Ibrahim, on behalf of the Registrar, Dr Isyaku Adamu.

According to the statement sighted on Wednesday, the Senate of the university approved the expulsion of the students during its 66th regular meeting held on Wednesday, June 17, and Thursday, June 18, 2026.

“The Senate of the university at its 66th statutory meeting held on Wednesday, 17th and Thursday, 18th June 2026 approved the recommendations of the Senate Committee on Examination Misconduct arising from the Second Semester 2024/2025 Examination,” the statement said.
