Five Northern Ireland engineering and manufacturing firms are to adopt robotic welding technology as part of a £7.9 million modernisation programme directed by the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (AMIC).
The project, which is AMIC’s first major collaboration, involves nearly £5m of funding from Invest NI, whose R&D support is partly funded by the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund.
The five businesses involved are Hyster Yale, Terex, Nugent Trailers, Four Dee and Datum Design.
R&D support
The project is expected to create 21 jobs across AMIC, Hyster Yale, Nugent, Four Dee and Terex.
