A bus travelling from KwaZulu-Natal to the Repatriation Camp in Beitbridge overturned on the N1 south of the Beitbridge Border Post, killing the driver and leaving 11 passengers injured.
A tragic bus accident on the N1 resulted in the death of a bus driver and injuries to 11 Malawian passengers being transported from KwaZulu-Natal to the Repatriation Camp in Beitbridge. It is alleged the driver lost control of the bus due to fatigue, causing it to overturn.
The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety confirmed the crash in the early hours of Wednesday.
The accident occurred on the N1, about 4km south of the Beitbridge Border Post near Musina.
Mashudu Mabata, spokesperson for the Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety spokesperson said that, according to preliminary reports, the bus was transporting individuals from KwaZulu-Natal to the Repatriation Camp in Beitbridge.
