Darren Maule is one of South Africa’s most versatile entertainers with the ability to move seemingly effortlessly around comedy stages, breakfast radio, TV appearances and corporate and government MC podiums, all while staying uniquely himself.
His natural comedic talents, and legendary quick wit have made him a household face, name and voice since the early nineties and there is no sign of him letting up.
Since 2011, Maule has been the familiar voice for over 1,2 million regular weekly listeners, as host of East Coast Breakfast on East Coast Radio (ECR). Through laughter, authentic conversation and his unmistakable ability to connect with people from all walks of life, he has become much more than one of South Africa’s longest standing commercial radio breakfast hosts, he has become part of the daily rhythm of KwaZulu-Natal.
Today (Wednesday) marks an important chapter in his life and career, as the SAFTA judge and multi-award-winning entertainer celebrates 15 consecutive years of “Good Maulings” as the much-loved ECR Breakfast Show host.
