Miracle Faiilagi will captain Manu Samoa during the 2026 Nations Cup in Chile and Uruguay this month.
Faiilagi, who is from Vailele, Uafato, Luatuanuu and Asau, takes over the captaincy for the July campaign after former captain Theodore McFarland was ruled out due to personal commitments.
In response to questions from the Samoa Observer, Lakapi Samoa Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Seumanu Douglas Ngau Chun said McFarland would not be available for the July Nations Cup window.
“Theo is unavailable for the July Nations Cup window due to personal commitments, and we fully respect his decision,” Seumanu said.
