US Vice President JD Vance reported owning between $250,000 and $500,000 in Bitcoin in his 2025 annual financial disclosure report released Tuesday.
Vance also disclosed a Bitcoin stake valued between $250,000 and $500,000 in his 2024 financial filing. The repeated disclosure indicates he continues to hold the crypto asset, although the reporting requirements do not specify the number of tokens owned or whether his position has changed.
Vance highlighted his Bitcoin ownership during an appearance at the Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas, where he said he owned “a fair amount of Bitcoin.” He was the first sitting vice president to speak at the conference.
President Donald Trump on Tuesday reported earning more than $1 billion from crypto-related businesses in his 2025 financial disclosure, including meme coin royalties and token sales tied to World Liberty Financial, while also disclosing substantial holdings in Bitcoin, Ether and other digital assets.
The filing shows Trump earned $635 million in royalties from his meme coin venture and more than $500 million from World Liberty Financial’s token sales.
