Stocks in the utilities sector lost ground as negotiators failed to provide a clear path to restore energy supply chains.
Global supply of liquefied natural gas could contract this year if disruption in the Strait of Hormuz continues for a prolonged period, according to British energy major Shell.
PPL said Kenneth M. Hartwick will join its board of directors, effective July 1. He will serve on the people and compensation committee and finance committee. Hartwick most recently served as president and chief executive officer of Ontario Power Generation.
