Newcastle’s Tino Livramento expected to return in pre-season after World Cup exit

LONDON: Newcastle ‌defender Tino Livramento has undergone minor surgery after suffering a calf injury and is expected to return during pre-season, the Premier League club said on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old picked up the ‌injury during ‌England squad training ‌in ⁠June and was ⁠subsequently ruled out of the squad for the World Cup, to be replaced by Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah.

We can confirm that Tino Livramento has successfully undergone a minor surgical procedure.

The defender, who returned from World Cup duty with an injury, is expected to return during pre-season.
