The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has assured members and its teeming supporters in Nasarawa State that it has filed an appeal against the Lokoja High Court’s ruling, with a motion for a stay of execution and an injunction also served on the INEC Chairman, accompanied by a covering letter.

In a press release issued in Lafia on Tuesday by the party’s State publicity secretary, Comrade Danjuma Joseph, said that NDC remains a duly registered political party in Nigeria, as it has taken part in all electoral processes to date, and candidates have emerged for various offices nationwide through primaries duly observed, monitored, and recorded by INEC.

“At the moment, our National Leader, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, who is re-contesting for the Bayelsa West Senatorial seat, and our Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, were yesterday, Monday, uploaded to the INEC portal”.

“The upload for our Vice Presidential Candidate, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, will be completed today. The process for other candidates is also ongoing,” the statement reads.
