ActionSA KwaZulu-Natal leader Zwakele Mncwango says South Africa has been "invaded" by undocumented immigrants

ActionSA KwaZulu-Natal leader Zwakele Mncwango says South Africa has been "invaded" by undocumented immigrants, accusing the government of failing to protect the country's borders as thousands of people took part in an anti-illegal immigration march in Durban on Tuesday.

The march began at King Dinuzulu Park before proceeding through the Durban CBD and ending at the SAPS Point Road police station, where organisers handed over a memorandum.

During the process, the crowd refused to be addressed by eThekwini Mayor Cyril Xaba and Deputy Minister of Police Cassel Mathale.

Many businesses in the CBD, including shops owned by foreign nationals, closed on Monday as a precaution.
