Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma, leader of the March and March Movement, addressed the protestors.
As thousands of citizens gathered outside at Point SAPS station, in Prince street, South Beach, Durban, calling for undocumented foreign nationals to leave the country, the leader of the March and March Movement, Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma, addressed the crowd on their call to the government.
Ngobese-Zuma said thousands of people have gathered across the country, uniting in their diversity, with one desire - a safe and prosperous country.
“Today our people have come out in their numbers to call on their government to listen to its people. They are calling for Africa to unite to fight against modern day slavery. They are calling for a true and real pan-Africanism.
“They want an Africa that works and is prosperous with a viable economic system that works for all its 54 countries,” she said.
