Samsung on Wednesday launched the Galaxy A27 5G in India, bringing AI features such as Google Gemini, Perplexity integration and Circle to Search to its mid-range A-series lineup. The smartphone starts at Rs 28,999 and will go on sale from July 3.Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset built on a 4nm process, the Galaxy A27 5G features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. It is available in three variants — 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB.Samsung is positioning the device around what it calls "Awesome Intelligence" — its suite of AI features. Alongside Circle to Search with Google, the smartphone integrates Google Gemini and Perplexity across Galaxy apps, including Gallery. It also offers real-time voice transcription in 22 languages and Live Transcription for calls and voicemails in English, Hindi and Gujarati. Bixby can also control device settings through natural language commands.On the camera front, the Galaxy A27 5G gets a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), accompanied by a 5MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera. A 12MP HDR front camera handles selfies and video calls. AI-powered editing tools such as Object Eraser, Edit Suggestions and My Filter are also included.The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery and comes with Samsung Knox and Knox Vault for security. Samsung is promising six generations of Android and One UI upgrades, along with six years of security updates.The Galaxy A27 5G is priced at Rs 28,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant, Rs 31,999 for the 8GB+128GB model and Rs 37,499 for the top-end 8GB+256GB version.As part of launch offers, buyers can avail a Rs 3,000 cashback using eligible bank cards or UPI, along with EMI and financing options through select non-banking financial companies.
