Samsung has announced the Galaxy A27, its latest budget phone that will sell for $349 and offer up to six years of Android OS updates.
The Galaxy A27, at least on paper, looks like a decent phone for its price tag. It has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED 120Hz display, 5,000 mAh battery (25W wired charging, no wireless), and a camera setup that looks respectable – 50MP main + 5MP ultrawide + 2MP macro on the rear, 12MP front-facing camera.
Under the hood, it runs Android 16 with One UI 8.5 out of the box and six years of security and Android OS updates, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage with microSD card support.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 runs the show – not the latest version, but it gets the job done as we found on the latest Moto G Stylus release that uses the same chip.
Samsung’s announcement touts AI features, of course, including Circle to Search, Object Eraser, Voice Transcription, Gemini & Perplexity pre-installed, and support for the new Bixby.
