Poor Leo and Lily were described as being in a "horrendous state" when they were rescued, with severe eye problems that required surgery to improve their health and wellbeing.‌Since then, however, the pair have made an incredible recovery while in foster care in Egypt and are now ready to travel to the UK in search of a forever home. However, despite their remarkable transformation, the two-year-old cats have struggled to find adopters because of the way they look.‌A statement from Miracle's Mission reads: "Leo and Lily before and after transformation! Now they need a home (together) in the UK. They were found on the streets in Egypt in this horrendous state. But they made a good recovery and thankfully no eyes needed to be removed - remarkably!‌"They are now two years old and weigh 4kg. They are both neutered and can be prepared for travel if a home comes forward. They both live with other cats currently. They are calm, peaceful animals and closely bonded to each other."Commenting on the rehoming appeal, one user said: "Poor babies. I can't believe how bad their eyes were! They are lovely cats. I hope they find a loving home together!"‌Another added: "What beautiful cats. How amazing do they look now." A third wrote: "They're stunning."Founded in 2015, Miracle's Mission works to "provide a place of safety for animals in danger, educate on the need for neutering both pets and strays, and neuter stray dogs and cats to prevent the birth of more animals living on the streets."Explaining the origins of the charity's name, it said: "Miracle was rescued from the streets of Borneo at one week old, before her tiny eyes were even open.‌She was found with her siblings in a very remote area, where they had likely been abandoned and were very unwell.The puppies were full of maggots, with ringworm and blood parasites. Unfortunately, Miracle's siblings did not survive.Miracle was cared for, and although she had a long road to recovery, she made a miraculous transformation.
