The white Tesla, driven by a 64-year-old woman, veered onto the sidewalk while attempting a right turn, striking the elderly pedestrian and cafe furniture. Emergency responders found the victim trapped under the vehicle; she was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and a juvenile occupant sustained injuries requiring hospital transport, while three other juveniles in the car had minor injuries. Investigators are probing whether mechanical failure, driver impairment, or speed caused the crash, but do not believe it was deliberate, and drugs or alcohol are not suspected. This incident follows another recent fatal Tesla crash in Texas where a driver claimed the car was on "autopilot" when it struck a home, killing a 76-year-old woman.
