Electronic components made by Japanese companies have been found in around 90% of Russian cruise and ballistic missiles and UAVs.

Details: Most of the parts identified in the weapons were electronic components sold for civilian use in Japan. Kyodo News suggests that Russia is using general-purpose goods that are difficult to control in terms of export restrictions.

"According to internal Ukrainian government documents seen by Kyodo News and cited by Mr Vlasiuk, electronic components from leading Japanese semiconductor companies and other major electronics manufacturers are used in Russian military Kh-101 cruise missiles," the report said.
