Two persons lost their lives while one other sustained injuries on Monday after a Volvo truck loaded with iron rammed into a stationary vehicle along the Sagamu-Ikorodu Expressway in the Ogijo area of Ogun State.
The spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, Babatunde Akinbiyi, disclosed this in separate traffic updates issued on Monday.
Akinbiyi said the fatal crash occurred at about 7:00 a.m. at Kadesh, inbound Ogijo, along the Sagamu-Ikorodu Expressway.
He said, “According to eyewitness accounts, the loaded Volvo truck rammed into a stationary truck ahead of it.
“The three occupants in the Volvo truck were affected in the incident. The motor boy and the escort died on the spot, while the driver sustained injuries.”
