A fatal road crash at Ogere Junction along the Ijebu Ode-Benin expressway early Thursday morning has claimed two lives while two others escaped unhurt.
The accident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, around 5:10am involved a white Mack truck with registration number ABC660XC and an orange Peugeot J5 bus with an unknown registration number.
The spokesperson for the Ogun State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Afolabi Odunsi disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists on Thursday.
Odunsi said that a total of four adult male were involved in the crash, sadly two persons lost their lives, while two others escaped unhurt.
He explained, “Preliminary investigation indicates that the probable causes of the crash were route violation (RTV) and speed violation (SPV). The impact of the collision led to the Peugeot J5 bus catching fire, with its front section completely burnt.
