To commemorate America’s 250th birthday, the U.S. Mint is releasing a limited-edition uncirculated set of coins right before Independence Day.The uncirculated coin set will be available for sale starting on Tuesday, June 30, at noon Eastern Time. Separately, last week the U.S. Mint announced the release of 250,000 limited-edition semiquincentennial quarters.“The designs on these historic coins depict the story of America’s journey toward a ‘more perfect union,’ and celebrate America’s defining ideals of liberty,” U.S. Mint Deputy Director Kristie McNally said in a statement.
In addition to the special “July 4th” privy mark quarters, which will carry no mint mark and be randomly distributed into circulation, the uncirculated set of coins will be available for purchase from the U.S. Mint in annual sets as well as select bags and rolls.The current product limit is 300,000, with both coin cards priced at $124.50. The set contains two cards, each with 10 coins: one from the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia and one from the U.S. Mint in Denver.Each set includes a certificate of authenticity, all five 2026 semiquincentennial quarters, the Emerging Liberty dime, the Enduring Liberty half dollar, the Native American dollar coin, a nickel, and a penny.US MINT TO PRODUCE LIMITED-EDITION JULY 4 QUARTERS FOR AMERICA 250Also included in the set is one Thomas Jefferson nickel, marked with the dates “1776 ~ 2026,” and one Abraham Lincoln penny, marked with the dates “1776 ~ 2026.”McNally stated that the commemorative coins are intended to help Americans connect with the nation’s history. “We hope to offer each American the opportunity to hold our nation’s storied 250 years of history in the palms of their hands as we Connect America through Coins,” McNally said.
