Merck has inaugurated the Merck Global Capability Centre (MGCC) in Electronic City, Bengaluru. The new 17,000-square-metre campus integrates the company’s existing India technology and services operations, bringing together approximately 3,300 professionals spanning data, digital, process, and technology functions under one hub to accelerate global enterprise innovation and digital transformation.The integrated facility represents a node in Merck’s global digital operating model, housing the company’s largest concentration of Digital Enterprise Solutions (DES) capabilities, because as the company notes, “Bengaluru is a core node in Merck’s global digital operating model.” From this hub, cross-functional teams will design, build, and run enterprise-wide solutions supporting core areas like R&D, manufacturing, supply chains, and commercial operations across geographies.Highlighting the strategic vision behind the campus, Alessandro De Luca, head of Digital Enterprise Solutions and group CIO, stated: “The Merck Global Capability Centre is much more than an operational hub - it is a strategic engine for our digital enterprise.
