Fars News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), citing Lebanese sources, reported that on Monday, June 29, Hezbollah forces in Lebanon detonated an explosive device at the headquarters of a deputy brigade commander of the Israeli army in southern Lebanon.
According to the report, two Israeli soldiers were wounded in the attack, with one of them reported to be in critical condition.
This report was published at a time when the Islamic Republic, in its official stance, emphasized the necessity of establishing a ceasefire and de-escalating tensions in the region. Concurrently, however, it has continued to provide political and media backing for the operations of its allied groups, including Lebanon’s Hezbollah, against Israeli positions.
