The Nirmala Bharata Charitable Trust, Mangaluru, has joined hands with Bengaluru-based Arohi Foundation in the latter’s efforts to offer free residential training for candidates appearing for civil services examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).An entrance examination is scheduled for July 5 for graduates and students in the final year of their degree courses for the foundation’s upcoming one-year free residential training programme for graduates. While the examination will be conducted in Bengaluru, the centre could be shifted to Mangaluru if more students from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts register, Nirmala Bharata secretary Latha Rai said in a statement.Selected students will undergo one year of rigorous, free residential training for the UPSC civil services examination, she said.Arohi Foundation also offers a four-year comprehensive undergraduate and civil services course for students in II PUC, as well as weekend leadership training for first-year undergraduate students.The training is being offered to support meritorious students through scholarships, the statement said.
