Meta has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Sabanci Renewables for 100 percent of the environmental attributes generated by two solar projects in Texas.The PPAs are tied to the 100MWac/130MWdc Lucky 7 Solar and 120MWac/156MWdc Pepper Solar projects in Texas. Combined Meta will receive 220MWac/286MWdc of power from the two projects.Both solar farms are scheduled for completion in the second half of 2027, upon which Sabanci will commence delivery of the credits."Entering into a long-term renewable energy agreement with Meta is an important step for Sabanci Renewables as we continue to grow our presence in the United States," said Tolga Kaan Doğancıoğlu, strategic investments and operations president, Sabanci Group. Earlier this month, the hyperscaler signed a corporate PPA with RWE to offtake power from the under-development 298MW Rabbit’s Foot Solar project in northeast Texas.Meta currently has operational data center campuses in Fort Worth and Temple, Texas. It is currently developing a third in El Paso, slated for operations sometime in 2028.Sabanci Renewables is a US-based subsidiary of Türkiye’s (Turkey) Sabanci Holding. It was established in 2022, and currently has an operational footprint of 790MW.
