The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has introduced a new online "Waiting Room" to help taxpayers access their auto assessment results during the busy filing season.
The 2026 tax filing season starts with the auto assessment period from 1 to 12 July, followed by the filing period for non-provisional taxpayers from 13 July to 23 October.
The revenue service said that the new waiting room will help reduce pressure on the eFiling platform as more taxpayers log in to check their assessment status.
"SARS has introduced a Limited Functionality Webpage, referred to as the 'Waiting Room', to support taxpayers during the Auto Assessment period," the revenue service said.
