Succot said his visit was to ensure that not "a single shekel of state funding" would go to schools that invite terrorist organizations to lecture students.■ The IDF announced that Capt. David Hazutt, 21, was killed overnight in an encounter with a Hezbollah operative in southern Lebanon. Another soldier was lightly wounded in the same incident, the IDF said.■ The Israeli military launched airstrikes on the village of Deir Seryan and homes in al-Khiam in southern Lebanon were destroyed and set on fire, according to Lebanese state media.■ IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir described the Israel-Lebanon agreement as "historic and significant," saying, "We will respect the agreement, and we will work for its success."■ Ensuring Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity is a condition for the sustainability of any agreement related to ending the war and occupation, Iran's Foreign Ministry said according to Al Jazeera.■ Israeli forces opened fire at a Syrian News Channel crew while it was covering the IDF's entry into the village of Abdin, west of the city of Daraa in southern Syria.■ Bahrain's and Kuwait's militaries said they intercepted Iranian drones and missiles, calling the attacks a violation of international law and of sovereignty. A residential building was damaged in Bahrain, the country's Interior Ministry said.■ Iran has warned the United States through mediators that efforts to open an alternative route in the Strait of Hormuz and recent attacks constitute a fundamental threat to the future of the preliminary agreement, an Iranian source told the Qatari newspaper The New Arab. Iran said passage through the Strait still requires coordination with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iranian state television reported.■ Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein said in a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, that the Strait of Hormuz should be reopened the U.S. naval blockade on Iran should be lifted. Announcing the cabinet approval, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar said: "It is never too late to do the right thing."Remarking on the approval, Sa'ar said: "Despite the extensive and unambiguous historical documentation, the Armenian Genocide remains to this day the subject of an institutionalized campaign of denial and minimization, including a manipulative rewriting of history, mainly by the Turkish government. It is widely believed that the Ottoman Empire committed crimes amounting to genocide in a systematic manner, with the aim of destroying the Armenian people," he said.It's never too late to do the right thing.
