Garwood (Gary) Sangwin, 71, and Carol Sangwin, 70, died after being found by paramedics in their Port Credit home on Thursday.
After 10 days on the run, Jordan Sangwin was found in a makeshift shelter in Etobicoke Saturday night and has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the death of his parents.
Investigators said the 46-year-old was located around Mimico Creek, near the Lake Ontario shoreline, after officers received video footage provided by members of the public. He had earlier been spotted in the High Park area.
