MANILA, Philippines — The new United States Ambassador to the Philippines, Lee Lipton, has arrived in Manila to officially begin his tour of duty.
The US Embassy on its social media pages on Sunday announced Lipton’s return to the country.
“Mabuhay and welcome back to the Philippines, U.S. Ambassador Lee Lipton! We look forward to your leadership as we continue to mark #USPH80 and #Freedom250. #FriendsPartnersAllies,” it posted.
Lipton said he had already traveled to the Philippines, and his earlier visits as an entrepreneur left a lasting impression on him, particularly the “energy, resilience, and strong sense of family and community” among Filipinos.
