The agency disclosed the arrests in a statement issued on Sunday by its Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi.

Nigeria's anti-narcotics agency, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has announced the arrest of a businesswoman travelling to China with cocaine and dismantled a syndicate accused of planting illicit drugs in the luggage of unsuspecting interstate passengers.

It also apprehended suspected transnational traffickers linked to large consignments of narcotics in a series of nationwide operations.

The agency disclosed the arrests in a statement issued on Sunday by its Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi.

According to the statement the operations were carried out by various commands and special units across the country as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt drug trafficking networks.
