Honda Automobile Western Africa Ltd. (HAWA) has partnered with Nigerian Breweries Plc to donate a new made-in-Nigeria Honda HR-V to the winner of this year’s Maltina Teacher of the Year Award, marking the first time in the competition’s 12-year history that the overall winner will receive a new vehicle.
The winner, who will be announced at the award ceremony in October, will also receive five years of free scheduled servicing and a five-year manufacturer’s warranty, a package designed to lower the cost of vehicle ownership while providing long-term after-sales support.
Speaking at the flag-off of the competition in Lagos, Daisuke Mita, managing director of Honda Automobile Western Africa Ltd., described teachers as professionals who dedicate their lives to shaping the nation’s future, adding that the company was honoured to support the initiative.
“By presenting the winner with a Honda HR-V, along with five years of free service and warranty, we hope to provide a meaningful reward that enhances mobility, convenience and quality of life,” Mita said.
