A 21-year-old man was arrested for exceeding the speed limit and dangerous driving after officers stopped his car traveling more than double the speed limit on Athens-Lamia highway, near Kifissia in northern Athens.
The driver was pulled over on Friday night after officers observed a vehicle traveling at 210 km/h in a posted 100 km/h speed zone, police said in a press release.
The man was detained on the spot for posing a danger to other drivers. The Attica Highway Traffic Police filed a case against him for dangerous driving, and he was led before a prosecutor.
