President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that the “Titan-Barikady” facility in Volgograd was struck by FP-5 “Flamingo” missiles.
The head of state announced this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
“Every Russian defense facility involved in the war against Ukraine is a legitimate target for our long-range sanctions. Last night, FP-5 ‘Flamingo’ missiles successfully struck the ‘Titan-Barikady’ plant in Volgograd. This is a large industrial complex where the enemy manufactures artillery systems and specialized military equipment, including components for missile launchers used to strike our people. A direct hit was recorded, followed by a fire on the factory grounds. I thank the soldiers of our Defense Forces for their precision,” he wrote.
Zelensky noted that the scope of Ukraine’s “long-range sanctions” is constantly expanding. According to him, it is precisely this kind of pressure that lays the groundwork every day for a dignified peace to eventually be achieved.
