Best lip gloss: Gisou Honey Infused Lip Oil Gisou Honey Infused Lip OilCruelty free? YesBenefits: Moisturises, smoothes, deeply hydrates lips and adds a shimmerSize: 8mlBy Erin WaksI'm totally obsessed with this honey-infused lip oil. When travelling, sometimes you don't just want a basic lip balm - you want something a little more glam, so you can arrive at your destination with a bit of sparkle. This is it. It smells divine, too; it's the perfect handbag essential. Best holiday hair dryer: Dyson Supersonic Travel hair dryer Dyson Supersonic Travel hair dryerFeatures: Universal voltage, intelligent heat control, ultra lightweight designSize: 68 x 71 x 222 mmWeight: 0.331kgBy Erin WaksI'll admit, I had high hopes for this compact travel dryer - and I was pleasantly impressed. I took it in my handbag to see if it would fit, and it did - I tried again with my gym bag, and found it took up even less space than my trainers. As someone with curly hair who's also often on the go, picking the best hair tools always seems difficult. I found this one luggage-friendly - and pretty effective. The settings and speed were strong points, as was the tool's ability to control frizz.Better still, this travel dryer actually works abroad. Dyson's original supersonic couldn't be used in some countries due to its high voltage range. This version has a much lower voltage range that adapts depending on the country you're in - all you need is a plug adaptor. The only real downside? The price tag - and shortage of attachments (unless you already own a full sized Dyson Supersonic, then you can use them interchangeably).I think if you've got the money to spend on a premium compact hair dryer like the Dyson Supersonic Travel, then it's worth the investment, it is, after all, a very good product and can be used anywhere in the world. See our full review of the Dyson Supersonic Travel here. Best foldable compact hairdryer: GHD Flight Travel Hair Dryer GHD Flight Travel Hair DryerExtras included: Luxury travel caseFeatures: Compact, ergonomic design, dual voltageSize: H120 x W190 x D295cmWeight: 780gTo be honest, I'm often sceptical of travel hairdryers. Without all the attachments and power I use on a daily basis at home, I often wonder if I'd just be better off letting my hair air dry while abroad. But at £79, this travel dryer from one of the top hair brands had me intrigued - and I was right to be.Light to hold and foldable, I had no trouble throwing the GHD Flight into my handbag for a night away - so it would take up very little room in a suitcase too. Plus, it comes with a classy case to keep it protected - though this does take up additional space. In terms of power, I noticed little difference from my usual hairdryer, which is always a plus and the two speed settings meant I could adjust the heat and strength easily. The end result was pretty frizz-free curls. Plus, with dual voltage functionality, you can safely style wherever you are in the world - just don't forget your plug adapter! The only real downside? The shortage of attachments. As a curly-haired girl, I'm always on the lookout for a diffuser but this did a pretty good job nonetheless.Best travel hair straightener: Cloud Nine Cordless StraightenerCloud Nine Cordless StraightenerExtras included: Charge and plug adaptors, cordless sleeve, charging podFeatures: Three heat settings, no cable, rechargeable, lightweightWeight: 0.37kgBy Erin Waks Having long been loyal to my ancient ghd straighteners, I was hesitant to give these a try. But Cloud Nine's reputation is stellar, and I'm a big fan of its Airshot Pro hairdryer, so I was game. The selling point of these is that they are cordless, so fit easily in your bag - great for if you travel a lot or are often on the go, like me.The straightening power is excellent. There are three temperature levels depending on your personal preference, and I found the 'hot' definitely got hot enough, a complaint I often have with some more budget straighteners. This definitely feels like a high-end item, with all the accessories you'd need (plug converter so it can travel internationally, sleek leather travel case). After using it, my hair was shiny and poker-straight: that is all, as a curly-haired girl, that I ask from a trusty pair of straighteners. The only downside is, unfortunately, inevitable. The straightener cannot be used while charging, meaning you need to make sure it's fully charged before you even switch it on - which can be a bit challenging if you're in a rush. Also, the battery life isn't the best - at fully charged, you get about 20 minutes, which for me is just about long enough to straighten my hair, but I needed to charge again for touch ups. The price you pay for the convenience of cordless straighteners.
